Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Mobile Youth Crisis Intervention Counselor in the Emergency Services program at Behavioral Health Network!

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st - through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN's Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Crisis program with the following:

Working with youth in the community, in the hospital, and in home/group-home settings to offer guidance for those dealing with a mental health and well-being crisis

BHN's Crisis Programprovides 24/7 front line response to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, regardless of insurance. BHN provides services on a mobile basis, including home and community-based settings or in an emergency department when needed

What are we looking for in a Crisis Mobile Intervention Counselor?

• Bachelor's degree in related field (Preferred)
• Must have reliable transportation during each shift to provide community based services.
• Must be flexible in moving locations through the MCI catchment area, including the community based locations, ED's and assigned mobile locations regardless of location of set schedule.
• Bilingual staff must be willing to be utilize to translate via phone and in person within the crisis and acute care programs.
• Experience, training, and schooling or equivalent
• Knowledge of delivery systems and understanding of crisis intervention.
• Must display empathic skills and have the ability to develop rapport with individuals, family members, and service providers, both telephonically and face to face.
• Good observation, strong organization, thorough documentation skills and ability to provide solution focused and strengths based services.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to collaborate with individuals and those involved in their care (clinicians, providers, families) as well as work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Two or more years working with children/adolescents
• Experience in coaching and skills training/building or mentoring
