Alliant Energy is currently recruiting future accountants for our Wisconsin State-Sponsored Youth Apprentice for Fall 2022!

• Pay: Competitive wage earning between $13-$15/hour, dependent on experience, coursework, and year of schooling completed
• Hours: 10-15 hours/week during the school year, flexible
• Location: This position will be mostly remote, but candidates must be working out of Wisconsin. If continuing into summer, interns will be hybrid out of Madison, WI.

• This internship was everything I hoped it would be and more. I did not meet one person throughout my internship that was not willing to help me succeed in whatever I was doing.

Job Qualifications

Education:

• Rising high school junior or senior with an interest in pursuing accounting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of accounting, including assets, liabilities, equity, revenues, expenses, debits and credits, and financial statements
• Experience with computer software programs, especially Microsoft Excel
• Flexible and effective communication skills
• Self-motivated and creative problem-solver
• A desire to learn and bring fresh ideas to the energy industry and our customers
• Capable of working both independently and in diverse teams
• Organizational skills and personal accountability
