About this Opportunity:
This position works closely with the US Downstream teams to provide workplace environments that enable staff to do their best work through workspaces and workplace infrastructure while remaining flexible to grow/contract as business priorities change. This includes managing US workplace operations, workspace management, construction projects, and records management.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of workplace operations, mechanical and engineering support as it relates to commercial construction as well as extensive experience leading commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Corporate Workplace subject matter experts to set US workplace strategy, standards and guidelines for workplace infrastructure and operations including develop viable solutions to space delivery and maintenance issues that meet corporate standards
  • Manage the scope and execution of all US based Workplace Infrastructure design and construction projects and Workplace Operations support.
  • Develop and manage US capital and G&A Workplace infrastructure and operations budgets
  • Manage staff locations, allocations, utilization, occupancy, capacity, stack plans, moves and workplace related tickets for all US sites and head office
  • Report on workplace key metrics and compare/contrast with industry and corporate metrics
  • Participate in enABLE and Joint Health and Safety Committee as required
  • In partnership with corporate Workplace subject matter experts progress future of work, optimization of workspaces and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage US Records Information and Management (RIM) services in accordance with corporate standards
  • Key stakeholders/partners include corporate Workplace team work streams (Space Management, Design & Construction, Portfolio Management & Records, Operations); US Downstream teams; Supply Chain Management; Health and Safety, Legal, IT, Communications, Security, HR, Wellness, landlords and base building contractors and various Service Providers
  • US based sites in scope currently include US Head Office, Lima, Superior, Toledo, and Houston.
Qualifications :
  • 10+ years' experience leading commercial construction projects across the US and assessing building conditions
  • University Degree in Interior Design, Construction Project Management or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years' experience in facility management including mechanical and engineering support as it relates to commercial construction and facility operations
  • Experience managing workplace operations processes (e.g. delivery services etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and participate in drawing reviews
  • Experience with Document Control practices and procedures
  • Experience assisting in the evaluation of RFP's, tender bids
  • Experience working with construction cost control analysts
  • Familiar with procurement processes
  • Familiar with the construction change order process.
  • Detailed knowledge of building regulations and safety codes, safety processes and procedures
  • Ability to participate in building site reviews
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience managing large capital and opex budgets
