About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to execute and deliver the Benefits Banking program in Kansas City & Expansion Markets to meet branch and market goals. This job will also provide program support to the Retail team, including preparation of Benefits Banking materials, coordination and execution of onsite events, completion of periodic reports and serve as a program resource.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with group and branch teams on strategies to identify benefits banking eligible prospects/customers to meet established goals
  
• Serve as a resource to provide benefits banking product and sales support in additionto coaching and training
  
• Partner with marketing to prepare and deliver benefits banking materials for branch and company onsite use
  
• Partner with benefits banking participating companies to travel to their place of business and host financial tabling experiences
  
• Deliver the Retail customer experience outside of the branch, in a wide variety of office settings. Onsite events range in size and complexity from individual tabling to new hire on-boarding, company wellness/benefit fairs, educational lunch & learns, symposiums, and more.
  
• Partner with team members in select calling activities with existing customers to expand relationships. Partner with Retail Administration team to help support and drive Retail Blue Chips, including but not limited to special events, customer entertainment, and other tasks deemed necessary that may include overnight travel.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Thorough knowledge of full range of Benefits Banking/retail products
  
• Strong problem-solving skills
  
• Goal oriented with strong sales skills
  
• Public speaking acumen or appetite
  
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  
• Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
  
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without supervision
  
• Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  
• Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  
• 1+ years sales experience required
  
• Financial services industry experience preferred
