Description

At KIHOMAC we design, build, test , modify, repair, and install wiring harnesses and electrical components. Our primary customers are US Military Aircraft (A-10, C-5, E-2D, F-16, F-22, B-52, and many others) and other US Military equipment (MRAP, STRYKER, ICBM, test equipment, etc). As a member of our team you will learn in-depth wire harness manufacturing procedures and requirements, develop advanced soldering skills, and develop advanced troubleshooting skills. The ideal person for this role would have outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and integrity. They would be self-motivated and once fully trained, be able to work with minimal supervision and oversight. They would also be familiar with basic mechanical skills, hand and power tools, electrical test, inspection, and measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment. This is an entry/Junior level to mid-level position that offers valuable on-the-job training (OJT). Salary will be determined based on experience. This position will work 40-hour work week with weekends off. The items mentioned below provide a synopsis of many of the duties and responsibilities an employee would be trained to perform: Provide support to either Project Manager or mid-level/junior Engineering/Science personnel in the areas of scheduling, data gathering/limited analyses, database population, preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, and associated documentation Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor Assist with On-Aircraft modifications and installations as required Follow engineering guidance, technical orders, and drawings Perform moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment (OJT) Perform and inspect wire terminations and wire harness assembly (OJT) Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to customer product specifications (OJT) Assemble, tests, and/or solders as required per customer and/or industry standards (OJT) Perform electrical checkout of manufactured wire harnesses (OJT) Document records identifying compliance with assigned tasks regarding wire harness manufacturing (OJT) Establish, organize & maintain detailed inventory of government, customer and KIHOMAC property (OJT) Train and assist other technicians on techniques and procedures Lay out/assemble units for production according to designs, specifications and work instructions Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as per predetermined processes (OJT) Maintain high ethical/professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor Observe all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area Maintain a clean work area Work unsupervised at times Report status and results Other duties as assigned
