Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. Dayton is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator to work in the Morenci Arizona area.

This position is responsible for the routine operation and monitoring of a wastewater treatment plant. This position will be responsible for performing all work in compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations applicable to the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and follow all safety, health, and environmental requirements

Perform all duties as assigned by the Account Manager including, but not limited to:

  • Operation of wastewater equipment

  • Monitor wastewater treatment processes for effectiveness

  • Complete daily log and required forms clearly and consistently

  • Collect and analyze samples using basic laboratory techniques

  • Interpret lab and monitoring data to determine system operation and compliance with discharge permit

  • Make chemical feed rate changes based on jar testing, flows, and pollutant concentrations

  • Perform equipment cleanings and general maintenance

  • Receive bulk chemical deliveries and use forklift to unload totes and drums

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Recognize and report operating anomalies immediately to the Lead Operator







Education and Experience Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two (2) years of wastewater operational experience
  • Forklift license required to be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • Preferred to have or plant to obtain a Wastewater Operator License within 24 months of hire
