Responsibilities

Warehouse Lead Position Summary

Warehouse Lead will be responsible for assisting with all the different warehouse positions and duties. It will be the main point of contact for production inquiries. This position will also support the Warehouse Manager and perform back up duties when needed. If you were hired for this position, you would be primarily based out of our facility located in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Warehouse Lead Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide back up to inventory/shipping/driving positions when employees are out or when an employee resigns.
  • Assist in the warehouse where needed when the department is fully staffed.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with training new warehouse employees.
  • Manage sales order due dates to ensure on time orders.
  • Reconcile the returns from production and make necessary adjustments before they are returned to the warehouse.
  • Perform inspection of standard parts not delivered to Shakopee.
  • Manage cycle count schedule of Bloomington bins.
  • Reconcile discrepancies.
  • Make necessary adjustments.
  • Responsible for maintaining an awareness of workplace safety and relevant training.
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
  • Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve.
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
  • Participate in required company meetings.
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S).
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications

Warehouse Lead Requirements/Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience of materials handling, preferably in a Warehouse or regulated environment.
  • Forklift certified (or willingness to become certified).
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • ERP software experience.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task, knowledge of FIFO and traceability.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement, establish LEAN initiatives.
  • Must be able to read, understand, speak and write English.
  • Previous Warehouse/Inventory experience.
  • Previous basic inspection, Shipping & Receiving experience preferred.
  • Previous lead experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
