Visiting Law Coordinator

The Visiting Law Coordinator is a post-graduate position designed for Law School graduates who are interested in pursuing careers in Law School or Higher Education administration.

This position is responsible for the following: teaching as an adjunct professor during Law 500; assisting with recruitment and admissions of graduate students; mentoring and advising LLM students on course selection, study skills, and professional development; lining up placements and directing the spring break Chicago Service Project; coordinating the LLM negotiation and client counseling competitions; assisting with Best Cases Summer Class in July; acting as an ambassador to international visitors and alumni; and assisting in the development of newer Visiting Law Associates.

Candidates must have a J.D. and should have passed a state bar (or plan to take the bar exam in July 2021). Success in some combination of recruitment, advising ,and mentoring in other capacities is preferred. This is a 100%, twelve-month appointment at a salary based on experience, plus benefits. The hired candidate is expected to work from approximately July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 with the possibility of a one-year extension. Candidates who are sitting for the July bar exam may opt to begin work immediately after the bar.
