We are looking for a Vice President, Technology Strategy Consulting who has experience across the digital domain (including connectivity, cloud systems, AI/ML, IoT) to spearhead our consultancy offering in North America. You will provide strategic advice to clients such as investment support, competitor analysis, technology roadmapping, and high-level systems engineering. You will pride yourself on your ability to communicate the value of technology choices to executives and be able to debate the relative merits of competing approaches with technical experts. In addition, you will be part of the global Technology Strategy Consultancy group, enhancing our international consulting practice and establishing a consulting presence in North America.

YOUR ROLE


This role is very much a client-facing one. Using your experience and working with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and consultants, you will be providing high-impact strategic insights to clients across a broad range of sectors. The role includes diverse responsibilities ranging from leading technology strategy projects, evolving our quantitative and qualitative consulting methods, ongoing account development, and developing propositions, market insight, and other collateral for internal and external audiences.

DAY-TO-DAY

Day-to-day you will be working closely with the SVP Wireless and Digital Services in Boston, Global Director for Technology Consulting in the UK, and a wide range of Cambridge Consultants colleagues, including sales/business developers, senior technologists, and business analysts. Being comfortable in a complex and fast-moving technology environment, you will identify critical needs and issues and develop strategic outcomes for our clients.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

You will be a senior, commercially-focused professional who has worked at the interface between technology and the commercial challenges of business. You will be a self-starter who rises to the challenge of working across multiple sectors and with an array of technologies to help our clients meet their strategic challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Significant experience in delivering technical consulting assignments for senior stakeholders (internal or external) to address strategic issues relating to digital technologies, particularly in connectivity, cloud systems, AI/ML and IoT.
  • Excellent market awareness and experience in at least one of our market focus areas, and an understanding of the latest market and technology trends which are opportunities for our clients
  • A STEM degree in an appropriate technical field; a second business degree is desirable

  • Strong experience of analysis and an ability to distil insights and make recommendations to corporate leaders from data
  • Excellent team working skills
  • A well organized and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Proven ability to influence at senior management level and to match business needs with technology solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
