Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint, an industry-leading wireless networking company based in beautiful downtown Boise, Idaho, is looking for a personable and knowledgeable Vice President of Finance to lead its Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Transformation Team. This is a Senior FP&A role, embedded within specific functions within the Cradlepoint organization, and will help to provide the balance, advocacy, support, and drive FP&A programs that a growing technology company requires in today's fast-paced environment. The right person for this role must exhibit great interpersonal skills, solid business acumen, and a strong sense of teamwork!

This is a mission-critical role where you will partner directly with functional leadership to develop and implement the financial strategy, transformation and scale their global teams. You will quickly establish yourself as a trusted partner and advisor on topics including financial strategy, financial transformation, financial planning & modeling, ROI analysis, management reporting, and ad hoc modeling analyses.

What Will You Do?

  • Becomea trusted advisor on all things FP&A and transformation relatedactivities
  • Develop and manage FP&A team
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive improvements in finance processes, governance, technology, reporting, and people
  • Developand drive strategies to foster a vibrant team culture, with close collaboration and effective communication across geographically dispersed team members, especially with our hybrid work policy
  • Drivethe end-to-end FP&A function
  • Prepare financial forecasts and modeling to ensure the financial viability offunctional plans
  • Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling
  • Support all M&A activities
  • Report on progress against annual objectivesand actuals vs plan
  • Develop, validate, improve, and challenge, when necessary, the quality and accuracy of status quo management reporting
  • Prepare and track business and investment cases, ensuring robust challenge to key business assumptions and key investment criteria
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Finance policies, practices, and processes tofoster continuous improvement
  • Ensure key deliverables for financial close, forecast reviews, and annualbusiness plans are met
  • Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, consolidation, or related duties as required or assigned
  • Drive thefinancial planning process, including medium, short-term, and quarterly forecasting to ensure all plans and forecasts accurately reflect business strategy and requirements for the organization
  • Drive the process to translate business line strategy into financial plans and targets, offering robust and insightful challenge during the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Ensure all month-end and quarter-end financial processes are performed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Stay close to the teams you support so that you can proactively surface and address challenges before they become real issues
  • Develop and help theFP&A team to implement new, and optimize current Finance systems, including Adaptive Insights and Tableau-based reporting
  • Passion for innovativeFinance solutions and process improvement
  • Support CFO in Finance Organization on all relative matters and assignments
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High energy with a hands-on "doer" mentality, sound judgment, and strong business acumen
  • At leastten to fifteen (10-15) years of experience in senior financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles
  • Provenleadership, analytical, influencing, and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks and impacts and possible solutions and corrective actions
  • Proven experience successfully partneringand leading business group leaders to develop and implement FP&A strategies
  • Leadership experience with hi-tech organizations, growth, scaling and M&A is preferred
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Passion forteamwork, serving our people, and supporting the success of our business
  • Strong experience in conducting market and pricing analysis
  • Trust and transparency - being respectful of others and a straight shooter is imperative to getting the work done
  • Humility and eagerness to succeed - you must be willing to learn something new or do things in a different way, we move fast, so a sense of urgency is important!
  • Strong sense of ownership,accountability, and project management skills - you must be driven and/or take pride in your work
  • Don't point a finger, lend a hand - we are one team so excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory, and communication and listening skills are key
  • This role is open to those based inBoise, ID, or remote but travel to Boise will be expected following the current travel restrictions

Compensation and Benefits at Cradlepoint

At Cradlepoint, we know that our people are the key to our success. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to help with your individual needs and goals.

Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

  • $231,000-$371,7000
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus and a cash-based long term incentive. These variable pay opportunities are dependent upon the attainment of goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint's Senior Leadership team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Cradlepoint provides generous paid time off, including: 15 days of Flexible Time Off (FTO), four paid quarterly well-being days, and 11 paid annual holidays (includes nine company holidays and up to two floating holidays). Please note that an employee's FTO balance and floating holidays may be prorated in the first year, based on start date. Cradlepoint also offers paid maternity-leave benefits and six weeks 100% paid family leave for all employees.
