OVERVIEW

Reporting to the CMO and serving as an integral member of the Marketing Leadership team, the Vice President (VP) of Brand Experience will be responsible for the development our global Brand, Event and Content strategy and manage the team that positions Alteryx with key audiences to drive the right outcomes.

The Vice President of Brand Experience is responsible for developing and executing branding, global event and content strategies that drive engagement, growth and enhance brand equity and awareness, drive both top and bottom of funnel performance for the company and raise overall business awareness of Alteryx as the world's leading data analytics company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit and manage a brand, event, and content team to support the development and execution of the company's overall brand positioning strategy
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality, innovation and award winning brand performance
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments
  • Build and oversee a content strategy and team that drives better audience engagement across key paid and owned channels to deliver improved demand performance for the company
  • Deliver the industry's most highly differentiated and exceptionally produced event experiences for annual kickoff (internal) as well as key user (Inspire) user-events and executive summits globally, working hand in hand with regional marketing to act as the company's go to resource for exceptional event experiences and standards
  • Develop, evolve, refine, and communicate with clarity the company's Brand Strategy including the visual and brand messaging - with an eye towards how the company differentiates itself in brand vs a vs both traditional and emerging competitors
  • Be relentless in optimizing and improving overall brand awareness, specifically within the target go-to-market industry and company size segments of our targeted digital marketing strategy
  • Oversee and work with relevant teams across the organization to drive engagement and brand standards and consistent application of our style across key global event platforms (both first and third party)
  • Develop brand strategic campaigns to meet business objectives that pay off the company's 'Analytics for All' brand strategy and mainstream analytics awareness with key business user personas
  • Develop partnership concepts which leverage the opportunities for Alteryx with key sports and other sponsorship platforms (McLaren Formula 1 team sponsorship and other) that make 'Analytical Insights provided by Alteryx' a awareness platform for the company
  • Work with the Digital marketing team to drive customer engagement, acquisition and audience aggregation strategies across our digital properties
  • Work with the digital marketing team and event teams to plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and email marketing; create media planning and tracking systems, and serve as a liaison with outside agencies and vendors on promotional campaigns
  • Track, analyze and report ROI results from all brand experience initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of marketing leadership experience, with at least 10 in brand marketing strategy, 5 in event and content marketing, including proven experience leading and growing marketing department
  • Strong understanding of digital trends, design trends and media trends that garner positive reputation and influence for the company
  • Experience building a top technology brand ideally in a top 100 technology company
  • A true collaborative personality-someone who is honest, transparent, and fearless
  • Service oriented focus with the goal of creating a unique and engaging experiences across our brand, event and content teams
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long-range goals with the flexibility needed to shift directions as the business environment demands
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Experience developing high level budget and annual operating plans with success
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate responsibility as needed
