Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Enterprise and Strategic Talent solutions and matrixed to the President of Language Services, as VP, AMN Technology Sales, you will be responsible for the development and execution of AMN's Technology Sales strategy, initiatives, teams, processes, and outcomes. We'll look to you to manage and achieve sales and associated revenue targets and develop strategic go-to-market growth plans.

You'll oversee approximately 12-15 direct reports as you also work with internal business partners to ensure alignment between all business lines to support this critical AMN initiative. The identified market sectors include small, medium- and large-scale health systems, hospital associations, clinics, surgical centers, group purchasing organizations and other strategic target markets as determined by AMN business strategy.

Role Specifics

More specifically, your key job responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop sales strategy to support business strategy to drive increased revenues, growth in terms of business expansion and to increase profitability by building strategic partnerships and making strategic business decisions
  • Be accountable for the technology sales growth and transformation within AMN by driving results, improving cross-divisional communication, collaboration, sales best practices and leading by example
  • Manage/Lead, hire, develop and top-grade as necessary a cohesive team of high-performing talent with a sales-oriented culture. Team consists of inside sales, general market and regional sales teams
  • Meet/Exceed revenue, sales, cross-selling goals, forecasting and achieving quota for the team, leading with a strong sense of urgency
  • Plan, develop and execute business development, sales, marketing campaigns, and partnering strategies and key executive level relationships critical to the ongoing growth of AMN Technology products and services
  • Lead Inside Sales Team and processes to metrics commensurate with growing Pipeline
  • Develop strategies, win themes, messaging and presentations and overcome obstacles to achieving revenue-based targets
  • Collaborate with the individual business unit leaders to identify prospective accounts, sales strategies, customer pricing, and other go-to-market requirements
  • Prepare, coordinate and run the sales pipeline meeting cadence (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Develop and maintain meaningful and robust working relationships with C-Suite level executives, in order to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Flow down Annual Strategic Goals by designing, tracking, and reviewing Annual Sales Plan(s) and projections, including regular meetings with leadership and other Client Sales team members
  • Ongoing management and communication of goals as defined in Annual Strategic Plans
  • Foster effective partnerships with all AMN Corporate and Shared Services functions to review contracts, ensure accuracy, timely processing, and increased probability of a win-win client relationship
  • Develop strategic sales team members through shadowing, modeling, coaching, and goal setting
  • Develop and cultivate Partnership Organizations that can serve as a Sales Channel and extend the breadth and reach of AMN Technology Solutions, e.g. Randstad
  • Work with GPO partners to maximize Sales efforts and help grow their portfolios in AMN Language Services and technology products and services Work with Account Management teams to achieve Growth Goals, as well as Customer Retention of greater than 95%
  • Work with Marketing to position and differentiate products and services to grow lead generation and sales pipeline conversion
  • Partner with others in the organization to drive RFP's, as well as delivering the tools to the Sales Team to accurately present our offering to prospects and customers
  • Drive client segmentation initiatives; work with Client Experience team to integrate Technology solutions into the overall AMN Client Experience Journey
  • Improve competitive intelligence capture and dissemination enterprise wide

The Ideal Candidate

To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education experience. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other technology-related education preferred
  • 10+ year' experience with strategic sales, partnerships and alliances C-level relationships experience, specifically in technology sales
  • 5+ years' experience leading sales team or function
  • Experience managing a business with at least $150M+ technology-enabled service revenue
  • The ability to successfully balance "tech and touch" -- including strong technical acumen and proven relationship building skills
  • Comfort driving synergy and identifying best practices between systems and solutions
  • Confidence, perseverance, passion and natural curiosity
Preferred experience:
  • Healthcare technology, consulting and/or managed services industry experiences
  • A history of product marketing experience/exposure
  • Experience within both large and small company settings
  • Experience transforming sales from brand-centric to a more integrated, client-centric approach
  • M&A experience
  • Experience with channel partners
We are open to location anywhere in the U.S. The preferred candidate will live in a city with access to a major airport. We anticipate that this role will require the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, with travel starting next year.

Pay Rate
$200,000 - $250,000 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
