Job Responsibilities

The Veterinary Technician Academic Program Director has the responsibility for the overall management of the Veterinary Technician program. Responsibilities include curriculum development, instruction, student advisement as well as College and community service. The employee is responsible to the Health Science Division Department Head for AS Degree programs.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Lic. DVM or LVT with a min. of a BS degree in a health science related field with minimum of 3 years exp.; 5 yrs preferred and 1yr teaching exp. preferred. Faculty teaching AS degree courses not designed for transfer to the BS degree must have a bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Applicant must be a graduate of an AVMA accredited program. Must currently be licensed in the State of SC.
