VAS - 1st Shift Utility Op

Rate of Pay: $15.00 Per Hour

Weekend Differential: Extra $2 Per Shift

Remove cartons from the special order handling belt and sort on wooden pallets by customer. Wrap full pallets with plastic wrap then utilizing a pallet jack move pallets to the designated staging area.

• Obtain pallet jack and wooden pallet
• Monitor the special order handling belt for cartons
• Remove cartons from the belt and place on wooden pallets by customer
• Cut tape and breakdown boxes as needed; Stack on pallet; wear approved cutting gloves
• Secure full pallets with plastic wrap
• Move secured pallet to designated staging area and obtain another empty pallet
• Perform general housekeeping duties in work area during and at the end of shift
• Perform any additional duties as specified by supervisor.
• The employee will obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.

Qualifications

Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations

Must be able to process basic math computations

Must be able to learn to use the equipment required to complete tasks

Must be able to perform all functions of the job safely

Must complete company new hire and safety orientation

Must be able to stand entire shift

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
