Join the Global Communications team at Walmart and make an impact not only on the future of retail, but on sustainability topics and issues the whole world is watching, like climate, nature, waste and more. The role supports Walmart's critical Global Responsibility work and will have you thinking on your feet every day, pivoting and multi-tasking fluidly. You'll be leading 360 comms work, reaching diverse audiences both internally and externally. The ability to jump in with an executive presence and thought leadership is key.

The Global Communications team makes things happen. Come with an ability to identify problems and offer solutions - quickly, autonomously and with vast foresight. You'll make an impact by:

  • Providing strategic counsel to senior leaders to support strategic initiatives and advance business priorities through communication.
  • Assisting senior management by developing and executing creative, comprehensive 360 communications plans targeting internal and external audiences to strengthen Walmart's reputation and drive action; understanding business and societal trends to identity proactive and reactive public relations opportunities; engaging with reporters; developing content for our Walmart's owned channels; monitoring and analyzing media coverage; identifying emerging digital and social media technologies to share our story; and identifying and engaging key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring corporate messaging enhances the reputation of business units across Walmart.
  • Serving as a company spokesperson and developing strong media relationships.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and media relations, identify opportunities and support internal and external perception of Walmart, including leadership in sustainability.

  • You have pre-existing relationships with consumer and business media contacts.
  • You have experience supporting executive communications.
  • You're organized, disciplined and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You're a master at making complex subjects easily understood through words and visuals.
