The Market Intelligence team - part of the Retail Tech Platform organization, provides vital competitive assortment and pricing signals into that equation globally across a multitude of geographies for Walmart enterprise. With an integrated data-led platform, we enable Walmart to bring price and assortment advantages into retail and drive repeat business through frictionless, personalized customer outcomes. We use highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and leading-edge web, cloud, data, and ML solutions to help our customers save money and live better every single day.

As a part of Walmart Retail Tech Platform- Market Intelligence Team, you will play a key role in the development and expansion of our core platforms to keep Walmart Catalog competitive and relevant to Customer. You will lead a team of product managers and business-minded individuals to develop key products needed to support the future growth of Walmart. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will play an important role in the company's success, with a huge opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The ideal candidate for this role is a creative and strategic thinker, analytical, results-oriented, has excellent cross functional communication skills, and a strong work ethic. You're a highly motivated self-starter with a deep understanding of building platform products, and a passion for understanding the competitive landscape and their capabilities. You're an excellent communicator, building strong cross-functional relationships including Strategy Team, User Experience, Project Managers, Business Product managers, Engineering, and Analytics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, and represent the voice of the customer internally with the business, Treasury and Engineering
  • Work closely with our data science and platform engineering teams to drive product requirements from conception to fruition
  • Working with customers, prospects, industry experts, and internal stakeholders to distill end-user needs and transform them into product and platform requirements
  • Drive visibility and communicate with clarity around all key initiatives
  • Develop and deliver an integrated plan to both enhance, leverage and expand out platform capabilities
  • Work cross-functionally with partner teams across multiple locations so com
  • Research trends and patterns in the market: perform industry research and competitor product analysis. Must know the current competitive landscape, but also drive new and innovative solutions that unlock the capabilities of Walmart's growth efforts
  • Lead a team of product managers and commit to their development and growth professionally.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader retail transactions ecosystem to develop strategic product feedback and positioning.
  • Help define market research and competitive analysis, using best benchmarking for new products, functions, and features
  • Researching the external landscape to understand competitive offerings and market trends
  • Driving data analyses (individually or as a facilitator) on proposed or existing data features / modeling methodologies

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or related field and 7 years' experience in product management or related field OR 9 years' experience in product management or related field. 3 years' experience building and leading high performing teams. 5 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
