Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Manages small to medium size Merchandise Business Solution projects (for example, seasonal peaks, troubleshooting, online content and serving as the supplier and buyer point of contact) by assessing scope of work; collaborating with merchandise execution management; prioritizing work and determining timelines and deliverables; developing communication plans for program execution; ensuring consistent implementation and application of key project objectives; determining project status and progress; driving cross-functional visibility; escalating at risk projects to senior leadership; advising on potential impacts to deadlines or established objectives; providing recommendations for future process improvements to Merchandise Business Solution management; and taking corrective actions to address issues to ensure timelines are met.
Leads one or more small to medium size cross-functional projects across Walmart U.S. by working with multiple key stakeholders (for example, GeC, Merchandising); assessing current processes and identifying gaps; benchmarking industry best practices; making recommendations to close gaps; resolving problems and driving efficiency in field execution processes of merchandising programs; determining return on investment (ROI) implications for the company and impact to the customer; utilizing multiple methodologies (for example, process observations and mapping, interviews, time studies); leveraging data and making recommendations on process improvements; ensuring implementation of sustainable best practices on merchandise execution projects; and adjusting approaches in response to changing business demands.
Manages efficiencies in inventory management by analyzing daily and weekly inventory reports for business area and working with Merchant leaders to address business challenges; partnering with replenishment to resolve distribution problems to ensure optimal store and distribution center inventory levels; owning the item file clean up as well as the proper set up for modular events and new stores; serving as the supplier and buyer point of contact to create action plan for distribution of overstock through supply chain; recommending solutions to eliminate inventory overstocks with future orders; monitoring and reporting on item and order creation status; analyzing past performance to identify opportunities and create corrective actions for improving inventory management performance; supporting upgraded systems and making recommendations on system enhancements; and assisting Replenishment Managers in determining shipping on import orders. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: 2 years' experience using basic functionality of Word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Ex: Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field OR 2 years' experience in retail, store operations, merchandising, replenishment, or related field.
