As a Principal Software Engineer part of Sam's Global Technologies Team, you'll sweep us off our feet if:

• Knowledge of the processes within an Agile organization are required, CI/CD, scrum, Kanban, etc.
  
• Deep understanding of the development lifecycle within a corporate environment is mandatory.
  
• A broad background in multiple technology subjects is highly recommended as the ideal candidate will be able to specify technologies needed to implement various solutions that achieve the architectural directions as devised under both Reactive (Event based) and Active (Service Oriented) Architecture implementations
  
• Enthusiasm, curiosity, energy, perseverance, and the desire to solve big problems
  
• Ability to work in a results-oriented, rapidly changing, dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires collaboration across multiple stakeholders
  
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an approachable way for broad audiences.

What you'll bring...

• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging technologies
  
• Experienced in Java, Angular/React, Node, Cosmos DB, Docker and Kubernetes
  
• Experience delivering solutions for applications at scale leveraging public cloud.
  
• Experience in architecting, designing, and developing large scale data solutions
  
• Experience driving engineering design using Agile process to drive innovation, accelerate decisions and outcomes while minimizing risk
  

Qualifications

• Background experience with software language such as Angular/React or Java, and related technologies such as Spring, Kafka, Node, SQL and Cloud based solutions
  
• Hands-on experience of Architecture and Design patterns.
  
• Exposure to AI/ML will be great.
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills to influence others and gain alignment
  
• Foster culture of innovation, continuous learning & development among the team
  
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

About the Team

As a member of the of the Engineering group, you'll be responsible for evaluating large amounts of data as part of the ongoing effort to create powerful data insights. You'll operate as a trusted advisor as it relates to efficiencies, best practices, and both selection and integration of new technologies in hardware and software. As a senior member of the team, you'll be able to say that you work for the world's largest retailer and contribute to the development to best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.
