As a Manager II, Operations in Autonomous transportation for Last Mile Delivery, you will work and grow as a team, leveraging your natural curiosity and inventive problem-solving talents by working in one of the most cutting edge areas by deploying futuristic transportation solutions like bots and self-driving vehicles for delivery in collaboration with other automation components to create services and capacity for customers that they could only dream to be possible. Our Last Mile Delivery programs are a critical part of our business, as a Manager II, Operations, you will collaborate with a high-energy team to innovate new customer-centric products, processes, and services to fulfill the last mile delivery space that will scale across the country.

  • You have experience in multi-discipline deployments/Last Mile Delivery/ Program Management and operations
  • You have a knowledge of the transportation/ robotics industry and the marketplace economy

You'll make an impact by:

  • Designing innovative & collaborative last mile solutions, based on inputs from various teams, to enable the solution to perform at various levels.
  • Drafting launch playbooks and strategizing data oriented launch goals.
  • Defining plans and pilots including schedules, resourcing, commissioning, and technology ramp up to deploy solutions based on metrics / data driven decisions.
  • Developing budgets, with inputs from multiple stakeholders, to seek approval and manage spend against multi-million dollar deployments.
  • Traveling to project sites to gage progress, work with vendors, engage with store teams, and provide a conduit for enabling a successful deployment.
  • Consulting with leadership team, engineers, and business partners to provide input in improving procedures, quality, designs, applications, and equipment.
  • Keeping leadership team up to date with risks to timeline and budget
  • Developing a high performing team. Building a culture that fosters end-to-end ownership, efficient operating reviews, data driven decision-making, strong cross-functional partnerships and willingness to take controlled risks to achieve results.
  • Actively managing key business stakeholders including program reviews, articulating solutions, progress reporting, strategy sessions, prioritization, and removing roadblocks for the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in areas of operations management and/or business strategy at a fast-growing tech company/start-up or management consulting at a top-tier firm
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Project Management - Project Management Professional - Certification
  • Operations management experience within the gig industry
  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong experience with Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 3 years of experience in an Operations, Project Management, Strategy or related position
    OR 5 years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Business Strategy or related area.
  • Experience in building and implementing processes from scratch
  • Ability to create and adapt presentations to the relevant audience
