The Role

The Senior Marketing Manager/ AD/ Director- Marketing, Oncology will be responsible for the development and implementation of the promotional brand plan for Oncology portfolio among our healthcare professional stakeholders. The key areas of emphasis for this role include engagement strategy, asset planning and development for both personal and non-personal promotion tactics, and ensuring alignment with brand priorities.

This position will report directly to the Director, Oncology Marketing, and will work in close partnership with Marketing Managers/Directors across the Oncology franchise. The individual will also work in collaboration with the cross-functional Oncology Franchise team and play a critical role in the execution of our marketing plan across our Oncology portfolio current and future indications.

This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD headquarters for our US Oncology business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive execution of all oncology promotional plan and programs while ensuring consistency with brand strategy
  • Adapt to changing dynamics in a competitive marketplace with agility and effectiveness
  • Lead Oncology HCP tactical planning efforts
  • Participate in the annual brand operational planning process by shaping the tactical plan and budget required to achieve the brand's stated objectives
  • Manage partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets
  • Partner with Insights and Analytics team and external partners to define success metrics and analyze performance of marketing programs
  • Optimize marketing plans as needed to improve impact and develop recommendations for future plans based on data-driven insights
  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: brand marketing, sales, managed markets, market research/analytics, or strategic planning
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High ethical standards and personal integrity

Preferred Requirements
  • MBA in marketing or advanced degree in life science-related discipline
  • 3-5 years of oncology and/or Oncology sales/marketing experience
  • Proven previous in-line marketing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated success in leading without authority
  • Ability to gauge the feasibility, impact and risks of proposed programs
  • Comfort operating in a highly regulated environment and industry
  • Strong business acumen skills and capability to manage multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and procedures
