Updox, a division of EverCommerce, is seeking a new Vice President of Business Development to lead our business development and strategic partnerships work.

You:

The Vice President, Business Development is responsible for new partner acquisition and existing partner channel growth. You will lead a cross-functional team, including product, engineering, marketing, operations, and finance to achieve the company's indirect revenue goals. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and innovative and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute plans to meet the company's indirect revenue objectives through the acquisition and management of referral and reseller partner relationships with Healthcare IT providers, payers and industry associations
  • Working cooperatively with all areas of the business, personally lead the pursuit and negotiation of new partnership opportunities, including planning and delivery of successful business cases and financial models, proposals, contracts, and implementation plans for partner integration and partner-driven product development projects
  • Lead the team responsible for our existing partner account management program in the execution of consistent relationship management, reporting and account growth initiatives to grow Updox revenue and influence
  • Represent the Business Development team and our partners as a member of the company's senior leadership team
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, developments, and best practices
  • Manage opportunities in compliance with the company's sales processes, sales tools, and approval/reporting process, ensuring complete and timely documentation

Where:

Updox is located in the heart of Dublin, Ohio at Bridge Park, just above Pins and 16-bit Bar and Arcade. For this role, we are open to talent anywhere in the United States.You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship in order to qualify for this role.40%+ travel will be required for this position.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years (combined) of healthcare software sales, product management or professional services success
  • 5+ years managing and growing relationships with large accounts
  • 5+ years selling software and services solutions in complex sales environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of application integration technologies, approaches and techniques, particularly in the healthcare space
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and work with senior level executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business and financial acumen, resource management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective time management, organization, and leadership skills
  • Able and willing to travel more than 40% (post COVID)
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), ideally in information systems, engineering, or a business-related field

Desired Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of key industry drivers impacting end-user customers, solution providers and other stakeholders in the healthcare information technology and services market
  • Solid exposure to and understanding of the software development lifecycle and implementation project management processes
  • Prior experience in software development or implementation project management
  • Prior experience within the healthcare CRM, patient engagement or communications space
