PayPal Corporate Tax has an exciting opportunity for a Transfer Pricing Manager assisting with the transfer pricing ("TP") activities mainly related to Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs), TP planning and integration, TP operations. You must be a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines. The position reports into the Senior Manager of M&A/Initiatives TP.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day TP matters required for preparing APAs/business initiatives, including but not limited to: performing economic analysis, conducting functional interviews, preparing presentations for and submissions to the tax authorities, and drafting and maintaining the support files;
  • Prepare and coordinate the workplans for the APAs/business initiatives;
  • Together with the Senior Manager of M&A TP/Initiatives, be the TP contact for questions related to certain APAs/business initiatives;
  • Build relationships with internal Finance, Legal, HR, and business partners as well as external advisors to ensure complete and timely flow of information to the TP team and effective preparation of materials for the APAs/business initiatives;
  • Provide TP support to the TP team such as preparing/ reviewing TP reserve analyses, cost allocation models, and TP reports; and assisting with integration of businesses acquired by PayPal into the tax structure;
  • Provide TP support for other special projects and TP audits as needed; and
  • May require some travel, up to 10% of the time.

Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of related TP experience (Big 4, law firm or Financials Services experience is a plus);
  • Deep understanding of TP principles, theory and interpretation;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Effective communicator, both written and oral, able to articulate complex TP concepts in a concise manner;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision; and
  • Flexibility to work with multiple teams across the world.

Education:
  • JD, LLM, CPA, CFA, MA/PhD Economics and/or MBA preferred
