The Lead, Training and Education develops and delivers training programs across the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC) based on the GMP needs and complies with corporate Quality System (QS) standards, and achieves desired compliance targets. This position would be leading FMC site level training projects and programs.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders in assigned functional areas to understand business drivers and develop training strategies that drive a learning culture
  • Performs educational analysis and design for Learning and Development (L&D) programs
  • Supports implementation, sustainment and evaluation of L&D programs
  • Establishes training efficiency strategies and associated ROI
  • Partners with colleagues, customers and vendors to identify training initiatives or improvements
  • Manages implementation of technical and cGMP training initiatives
  • Represents Training Program during regulatory inspections
  • Partners with clients to build/modify training curricula for all levels in the organization
  • Responsible for new employee induction program facilitation and continuous improvement
  • Contributes to the development of new training concepts, techniques and standards to cultivate an agile workforce
  • Able to work strategically and tactically in a dynamic work environment to achieve company goals
  • Develops solutions to a variety of sophisticated problems utilizing resourcefulness and innovation
  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives
  • Work is performed without appreciable direction
  • Participates in determining objectives of assignment
  • Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives
  • Effects of decisions are long lasting and influence the course of the project or objectives
  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve objectives would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources
  • Consultant to functional area or management
  • Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Adept at building global, cross-functional relationships and partnerships
  • May supervise other personnel. Will manage program and project sub-teams

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of cGMP industry practices
  • Demonstrated learning methodology skills and experience, preferably ADDIE model and Kirkpatricks's Levels of Evaluation
  • Instructional Design experience, including design and development of web-based training modules using eLearning software, preferably Articluate
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience
  • Demonstrated team and collaboration skills
  • Learning management system experience, a plus
  • Proven understanding of Sigma-LEAN methodologies a plus
