About this opportunity:
This position Coordinates activities with Manager of Terminals Operations and with each Lead Operator within Terminal Operations. Frequently communicates with downstream marketing, customers, and contractors. Assists in project scope development, employee and project scheduling, and budgeting. Coordinates compliance with assets located in Minnesota and Wisconsin and assists with facility response plans and other related facility plans development. Coordinate's emergency response exercises and participates in daily operations meetings. Coordinate's month end reporting, record keeping and in filing. Assists in maintaining operating procedures for terminal operations, places work order notifications, approves contractor labor hours, and manages local terminal management systems, (TMS). Assists in management of change activities. Assists in maintaining compliance with facility oil/water separator, vapor combustion units, and fuels plans for QA/QC. Coordinates testing of ground water and storm water monitoring systems, and in the submittals of month end reports to appropriate regulatory Agencies.

This position is located at the Superior, WI Refinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute and align to Cenovus safety culture and standards.
  • Assists Terminal Operations Manager, and Terminal Lead Operators in development of operational and distribution procedures to ensure compliance with Governmental regulations; 40 CFR Part 80, 1090, API 2610, 1640, & other API recommended practices.
  • Advise with Terminal Lead Operators.
  • Develop and support training materials for operational training excellence, and with compliance tracking and filing.
  • Provide support on new process developments (Management of Change), works in SAP, and with other ongoing initiatives.
  • Assist Terminal Operations with budgeting, project support, purchase requisitioning, and in work order issuance.
  • Assist with AFE development and in project cost tracking.
  • Assists with implementation of safety rules and requirements, with employee training, and in training materials development. Participates with emergency response compliance and in drill exercises.
  • Participate in Environmental initiatives and with Compliance.
  • Provides support on equipment, in reliability, and with preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assists with internal/external audits, meter balancing reporting, customer complaints, accident, and incident investigations.
  • Interfaces/communicates with various refinery departments as needed.
  • Assists Refinery management with special projects covering all Terminals.
Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree is an asset.
  • Formal training/work in an associated field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in petroleum, transportation, or lubricants related field is required.
  • Possess firm understanding of mathematical computations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, and Excel, and their applications.
  • Proficient with TMS, SAP purchase requisitioning, work order notification processes, cost tracking, and MOC's.
  • Must possess and maintain valid driver's license and a satisfactory safe driving record.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable to work from written and verbal instruction.
