The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks highly qualified candidates for several faculty positions in the tenure track at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Academic rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience. Applicants must have an MD and/or PhD degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

We seek highly qualified candidates with a demonstrated track record and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position seeks to identify extraordinary scholars from fields including but not limited to: health, healthcare, health policy, public health, bioinformatics or related fields with a demonstrated track record of scholarly work in: health equity, structural racism/antiracism in healthcare, inclusion, intersectionality, cultural humility, stigma/prejudice/bias/discrimination, or related disciplines.

Successful candidates are expected to develop independent, federally funded research programs, and express a strong commitment to the graduate and medical education missions of the Perelman School of Medicine. Responsibilities include a combination of research, educational and clinical care duties (if relevant). Teaching responsibilities may include didactic lectures to fellows, residents, medical and/or graduate students, and nursing staff. Candidates for clinical research appointments must be board certified. Interdisciplinary scientists desired.

The faculty appointment will be in a department in the School of Medicine that is consistent with the scientific expertise of the successful candidate.
