Job Summary:

The temporary Program Assistant position provides administrative and programmatic support to the Academic Director and to the Executive Director of Harris Policy Labs, the Harris School's experiential learning program.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update program databases, program files, and program materials.
  • Assist with program application intake and review, and student communication related to same.
  • Assist with development of new digital program promotional materials.
  • Provide event-related support, including logistical support.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Competencies:
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Basic data analysis skills.

Additional Requirements


Education, Experience, or Certifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:
  • Experience with Box.com and/or Qualtrics
  • Experience in higher education, including with systems and systems support, and with graduate student and faculty interaction.
  • Familiarity with University of Chicago or professional work experience with another university.
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively.
