Title: Temporary - Departmental Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide general clerical support to the Office of Finance Aid and to greet and assist students.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes mail. Scans and indexes records. Greets and assists students and visitors at events. Assists with event preparation. Organizing and cleaning of work area. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in an office setting.

Prior experience with Banner, Xtender, and/or Financial Aid Management software.

Experience in scanning/indexing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.

Rate of Pay: $13.00 per hour.

WORK HOURS
Up to 28 hours for non-students
Up to 20 hours a week for students
