Our Professional Services team is responsible for supporting our sales team's at all pre-sales stages and also project managing the single sign on (SSO) integration of the customer in academic and corporate markets. We are recruiting for an experienced consultant with industry experience to head up this new team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team lead responsibilities, man management of 2 analysts
- Provide sales support by working closely with our sales teams to understand and define clients SSO requirements
- Propose solutions which meet those requirements, ensuring they are technically viable and add value to the overall proposal
- Understand and demonstrate solutions to customers including Proof of Concepts and articulating the benefits they offer
- Support sales teams including at client review meetings
- Liaise with clients post sale to develop implementation plans
- Communicate with internal teams including Customer Support and other internal teams to ensure effective delivery
Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience in a software consultant or technical architect role
- Previous experience working with Federated Access, Shibboleth, OpenAthens or similar
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a Project Management role
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to confidently present proposals
- An advanced understanding of SSO concepts including Active Directory, LDAP, network management (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewalls), Ping, Okta or similar Identity solution (desired), AWS/Azure, Federated Access (Shibboleth, OpenAthens and others), understanding of authentication protocols OAuth/OIDC/SAML
- Act on external groups/committees relating to Federated Access and/or presenting at conferences/webinars etc as a promoter of Federated Access at Elsevier
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with shared objectives and on own initiative
- Excellent time management, particularly the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in line with business objectives
