The Step One Early Intervention Program has a part time position available for a bilingual candidate (English/Mandarin OR English/Vietnamese). The position includes home visits with Step One staff, including teachers, social workers, and therapists; and assisting in parent-child play groups. Responsibilities include establishing relationships with children birth to three with special needs and their families; and translating for Step One staff during home visits to ensure Step One staff and families understand one another; and assisting teachers in parent-child playgroups. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Skills
- Interest in learning about children with special needs and ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to translate verbally; bilingual English/Mandarin or bilingual English/Vietnamese
Required Experience
- High School diploma and experience with infants and toddlers.
