Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint, an industry-leading wireless networking company based in beautiful downtown Boise, Idaho, is looking for a personable and knowledgeable Tax Coordinator to join its Accounting Team! This role helps to provide the balance, advocacy, support, and programs that a growing technology company needs in today's fast-paced environment. The right person for this role must exhibit great interpersonal skills, a solid business acumen and a strong sense of teamwork! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Tax Coordinator to join our Finance team. This person will be an integral part of the tax team by assisting the tax team in accurately and timely completing of all regulatory and statutory reporting and filing requirements for internal and external parties. You will quickly establish yourself as a trusted partner and advisor on topics including annual business license renewals, statutory filings within the US and for international entities and assisting the Tax Manager with projects as needed. What Will You Do?

  • Be a strong liaison between the accounting, finance and tax teams
  • Assist in preparation of statutory filings within the US and internationally
  • Maintain a tax calendar encompassing all tax filings (forms, payments, returns etc)
  • Managing the tax calendar to ensure timely filings, extensions and payments
  • Assist with information and analysis to enable timely and accurate responses to any notices and audit requests
  • Assist with the indirect tax filings including VAT, Sales & Use tax
  • Assist with GL account analysis including reconciling tax accounts
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the manager

Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in a corporate tax department
  • High energy with a hands-on "doer" mentality
  • Proven analytical, influencing and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks and impacts possible solutions and corrective
  • Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to perform tax research and effectively communicate (written and verbal) tax and compliance issues
  • Humility and eagerness to succeed - you must be willing to learn something new or do things in a different way, we move fast, so a sense of urgency is important!
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and project management skills - you must be driven and/or take pride in your work
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word required
  • Flexibility to change direction depending on the situation, able to meet the challenges of a fast-paced environment
  • Must be trustworthy, ethical, honest, and responsible and must be able to discreetly handle confidential information
  • Positive, professional, organized, proactive, critical thinker, reliable, and a team player

Bonus Points:
  • Prior experience with software for tax/accounting or tax research tools a plus
