Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Support Engineer is responsible for managing the Mac Hardware and Software environment for the Dallas Sam's Club Office. This will involve supporting desktops, laptops, printers, A/V equipment, and productivity software. This individual will work with another Mac support engineer and members of other IT teams in California and Bentonville, other departments, and external SW vendors to evaluate, plan for, and implement new technology.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Respond to incidents and technical service requests as they arise
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers and
productivity software
* Diagnose hardware issues, order parts and replace faulty
components
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and hardware
compatibility
* Track issues and solutions using the organization's ticketing system
* Take ownership of tickets and communicate progress with customers
in a timely manner
* Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support requests
* Attend support meetings with other support techs to go over current issues

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years in a technical support role
* 3+ years supporting macOS HW and SW
* Experience with Jamf Pro MDM for macOS
* Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
* Familiarity with Networking HW, LAN and Wi-Fi, DNS, Proxy and
Firewall configurations

Preferred Qualifications:

* Jamf 200 and 300 (CCT and CCA) certifications
* Previous A/V equipment support experience
* Previous support of 3rd party vendor SW such as MS Office for Mac,
Cisco AnyConnect for VPN, Chrome and Firefox browsers, and Docker
* Experience with security tools on a Mac platform like Symantec and
McAfee
