Description: Our client is currently seeking a Systems Engineer IV

Overview:

The Application Hosting engineering team foundationally delivers server (Windows, RHEL), storage (Pure, Qumulo, Cohesity), compute/virtualization (Cisco UCS, vSphere), and Azure cloud technology services.

POSITION SUMMARY

The System Engineer IV serves as a senior technical member of an engineering team. The position will work across multiple disciplines to deliver IT products and services to the organization that scale efficiently while improving performance and minimizing costs. The System Engineer IV works independently, with minimal supervision and is the lead for their technical domain or discipline. This role provides technical leadership to the engineering team, is able to work across multiple disciplines, and is looked to by others for guidance. The System Engineer IV is a lead contributor in developing strategies, standards, new capabilities, automated workflows, and technical proofs of concept. The System Engineer IV will have a background in design, implementation and support of infrastructure, software, applications, and/or security within Healthcare or a similarly complex industry. The position will require demonstrated experience with Agile and/or Lean methodologies to deliver information services in an efficient and repeatable manner. The System Engineer IV proactively works with customers, stakeholders, analysts, architects, and other engineers to troubleshoot and find root cause of technology and security defects. They must be excellent team players and have demonstrated experience across multiple systems.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Lead contributor to the development of enterprise engineering solutions, conducts reviews and validation of systems, code, and security. 2. Develops system and security standards for the organization. 3. Drives resolution of complex issues and implements corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. 4. Leads automation initiatives for their areas of expertise. 6. Reviews and jointly develops specifications and requirements for complex software programming applications with users and vendors. 7. Will manage/lead complex technical projects within their area of expertise. Proactively communicates with users and management on the status of projects and requests. 8. Supports, installs, maintains and troubleshoots enterprise IT solutions with a focus on reliability and usability.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent STEM field.

• Licensure: None Required

• Certification: Advanced level technical certification required within one year of hire.

• Work Experience: 6 years of experience in delivery of IT solutions to include server, storage, network, client systems engineering and/or security engineering required.

• Work Experience in lieu of Education: o Associates degree plus eight years of applicable technical experience in areas as noted above. o Or, in lieu of no degree, ten years of applicable technical experience in areas as noted above.

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Advanced understanding of current development and trends in Information Technology and senior level experience in one or more of the following domains: • Infrastructure engineering: network, server, storage, and/or voice • Cybersecurity Engineering • Software engineering • Database engineering • Windows and Linux • Public cloud environments • Strong soft skills, verbal and written communications, including the ability to turn complex technical topics into understandable terminology is a necessity. • This position must have the proven ability lead large projects and initiatives from kick off to completion. • This position builds trust among colleagues, must be a continuous learner, and focus on delivering capabilities for the customer.

• Certification: Current advanced level technical certification. Work Experience: 6+ years of experience preferred.

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Strong soft skills, verbal and written communications, including the ability to turn complex technical topics into understandable terminology is a necessity o Formal training in Lean or Agile
