RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client is seeking a Systems Engineer III in Fort Lauderdale, FL.Summary:The Systems Engineer III under direction of the Manager, IT Engineering acts as a subject matter expert for all system infrastructure and operations support. They will comfortably interact with all levels of technical and business organizational hierarchy and manage external vendors to facilitate the delivery of a consistent, reliable infrastructure environment. The System Engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and operation of the servers and applications infrastructure.Responsibilities:

• The Systems Engineer III must maintain a good working relationship with management, IT personnel, as well as end users
• Work with other supporting team in the planning of server infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement plans
• Work with security, disaster recovery, and other vendors providing required services to the server infrastructure
• As a Systems Engineer III, you will work with the IT Application Development group and, when necessary, end users to stay abreast of changes within the production processing environment and to assist in the resolution of production processing problems
• Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
• Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence and faxes
• The Systems Engineer III will act, dress, and behave in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of the company

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Microsoft MCSA / MCSE (Solutions Expert) Server Infrastructure and Linux certification
• 8+ years of experience in the IT field
• 5+ years of Microsoft Windows (2012/2016/2019) Server Systems administration, deploy, tuning, hardening and troubleshooting
• 3+ years of Microsoft Windows Server solution design and implementation
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps environment and supporting Web Applications
• Networking and Project Management skills
• Server/Application Security and PCI/SOX experience
• DevOps experience is a plus
