Description

GBA Companies is establishing a new position for a System Administrator for Security within our Information Technology group. This system administrator will be responsible for managing GBA Companies organization's security systems. They will ensure successful management and implementation of security systems that integrate seamlessly into our network to allow for reliable and safe production operations. They will work closely with other engineers, architects, and technical experts and may liaise with leadership to understand potential threats and create process to improve security and mitigate issues.

Responsibilities:

• Partners with the broader security team to deliver actionable analysis including Vulnerability Management, Detection Engineering, Security Operations, Incident Response, and others.
• Responds to Requests for Information to deliver ad-hoc threat research and formalized reporting.
• Participates in developing and maintain cyber threat intelligence requirements.
• Works as part of an analyst team delivering proactive and reactive threat analysis briefings.
• Develops and maintains threat intelligence platforms to enable threat actor tracking, and effective IOC management/analysis.
• Develops platform integration and automation solutions to increase security posture.
• Participates in implementation, maintenance and monitoring of Microsoft Security and Compliance Suite.
• Participates in maintenance and monitoring of email gateway; implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of firewalls; and administration of cloud delivered security and Azure security platforms.
• Performs routine social engineering tests and ascertain the organization's level of vulnerability.
• Maintains organizations incident response plan and disaster recovery plan.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a directly related field and 5+ years of experience in security and system administration.
• Professional cyber security experience including threat hunting, incident response, threat intelligence, or similar concentration areas.
• Experience developing and producing written cyber threat analysis products.
• Knowledge of Mitre ATT&CK, Diamond Model, CVSS, and industry standard threat modeling.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and maximizing the value of Threat Intelligence Platform products.
• Background in technical threat analysis, vulnerability/exploit analysis, threat detection, and/or breach analysis.
• Experience with developing and maintaining security layer solutions (Mimecast, Cisco Umbrella, Sophos experience a plus)
• Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and communication skills, and ability to work both independently and across a team.
