Supplier Relationship Manager - Indirect Procurement


Job Description:

The Supplier Relationship Manager will develop and continually improve post-award, indirect supplier processes designed to enhance relationships and ensure the effective delivery of goods/services, while minimizing risk. In addition, this position will support competitive bidding and other supplier qualification processes, development of agreements, and ensure strong operational performance.  This individual will be the trusted advisor to various stakeholders and will facilitate strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations in the Human Resources, Marketing & Non-IT Professional Services categories. This individual will be expected to lead teams of key cross-functional stakeholders through the strategic sourcing process and leverage Arrow's purchasing power to drive measurable commercial improvements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead complex, sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations

  • Conduct market research and maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions and economic indicators in order to identify new and/or alternate sources of supply, as needed

  • Conduct ongoing benchmark reviews and perform complex financial analysis, projections and evaluations of supplier proposals for existing and new contracts

  • Influence and drive collaboration between cross-functional stakeholders for the development and execution of enterprise sourcing strategies to identify cost savings opportunities and facilitate strong partnerships between Arrow and its strategic vendors

  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies and procedures

  • Support the development of supplier strategies, bid packages, and contracts

  • Ensure that newly negotiated rates are implemented and tracked
    Monitor and report on the progress of technology migrations, implementations, contractual commitments, contract dates (notice, expirations, benchmark, etc.) and supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs

  • Monitor use of Strategic/Preferred Suppliers and compliance with established agreements

  • Collect and monitor changes in demand, spend, performance, SLA penalties and volume discount/credit structures

  • Develop and deploy a supplier management strategy, including qualifying new suppliers, supplier reviews / metrics, and risk assessments

  • Facilitate supplier review meetings and develop and manage supplier scorecards

  • Become the escalation point for supplier performance issues and implement action plans for performance improvements

  • Evaluate, communicate, and propose process improvements to enhance SRM effectiveness

  • Performs other responsibilities or tasks as requested

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 5 years of procurement and relevant sourcing experience in Human Resources, Marketing & Non-IT Professional Services

  • Willing to consider additional experience in lieu of a degree

  • Ability to effectively manage large, complex, strategic projects with aggressive milestones, significant risk components and multi-million annual value.

  • Strong preference for experience supporting indirect procurement

  • Excellent written and verbal communications directed at internal and external parties as well as towards the development of RFx' s, contract documents and executive presentations

  • Demonstrated experience in managing & developing supplier relationships including contract negotiation

  • Proactive and collaborative approach delivering superior internal client engagement

  • Strong analytics and problem-solving capabilities

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$99,000.00 - $121,000.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
