Description:
The Central Sterilization Coordinator is accountable for the coordination of unit operations. Provides leadership and promotes team building amongst the staff. Facilitates communication amongst staff, management and other customers. Responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures and standards. Performs duties in clinical capacity as needed. Coordinator will identify opportunities for standardization and cost containment/reduction. Assists Perioperative Service Director and Manager in identifying physician practice patterns, supply and equipment utilization and staff utilization.
QUALIFICATIONS

1. Completion of a Certified Registered Central Service Technician program within two years of hire with certification (CRCST) required. May be a graduate of a Surgical Technologist program with certification to meet requirement.
2. CS Management experienced preferred
3. Five years or more experience as either a central processing technician or surgical technologist preferred.
4. Must demonstrate organizational and communications skills and be able to identify patient care products and their use.
5. Must maintain confidentiality; demonstrate compassion, empathy and respect for all customers.
6. Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
7. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
8. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
