Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

We'll be looking to you to implement a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined framework. This includes the Western Union payment pricing engine, operation support, and transaction settlement processing. You will be responsible to develop and implement new software, maintain and improve existing software making sure that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization and organization. In addition, you will troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.

Ideally, you will have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field together with 8 to 10 years of software development experience with J2EE full stack. You will have knowledge of architecture design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques, logical and physical database architectures and operating systems. You will also have extensive experience design pattern - ESB, MVC, ORM. You will also have demonstrated experience with Containers and Microservices. You will also have expert level experience with Java including Collections, Multi-Threading and Streaming. Experience in Lean, Agile and Iterative development methodologies is also desirable.

Annual base salary gross: $104,938.00 - $184,620.00. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union's total compensation package for employees.
