The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking a 50% -100% Staff Nurse to work for the Adult Home Dialysis Program.
Position Summary: As a Registered Home Dialysis Nurse, you will educate your patients and their caregivers on wither hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis therapies. The training occurs in a clinic setting and not the patient's home, empowering them to perform their own dialysis at home. In this position you will work in the clinic to train, oversee, and plan patient care to ensure patient success.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Patient Advocate: Assessing patient condition and implement training plans based on your evaluation.
Educate: Educate perspective patients on the benefits of home dialysis and ensure they are active and confident in their own dialysis treatment and care.
Autonomy: Provide patient care in an independent setting, applying your nursing assessment, diagnosis, and care plans while collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team.

Percent of Time: 50-100% Variable FTE
Schedule: Variable start times between 0800 & 0900, 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, On-call rotations.
Location: UIHC Main Campus, occasional travel to patients homes.
Pay Grade: 52 - https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/plans
Education: Associates Degree in nursing, BSN preferred.
