Responsibilities

As a Staff Electrical Design Engineer focused on PCB Design, you'll perform design and layout for PCBs used in vehicle and precision electronics products, assemblies, and systems, from concept through production stage, and make modifications as needed.

  • Work with the hardware team (EE, ME, Design Analysis & Simulation, Test, Software) to design and release multi-layered printed circuit designs for both rigid and flexible PCBs.
  • Maintain electrical component libraries.
  • Maintain design database and revision control (Schematics, BOMs, layout files, etc.)
  • Create schematic symbols and footprint libraries.
  • Design with latest high-performance processors and DRAMs.
  • Ensure design conforms to IPC, manufacturer and CNHi PCB quality standards.
  • Optimize board layout by working in a team setting with the internal design teams.
  • Work with project management to generate and update PCB design, layout and development schedules.
  • Ability to work with and support 3rd party PCB design vendors, if needed.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of PCB design, methods, and applications.
This Position pays- $101,000 - $155,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of work experience in PCB design
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previously completed PCB design projects through manufacturing.
  • Strong background with CAD tools for schematic and layout of PCBs like Orcad, Allegro, Altium, or Mentor Graphics.
  • Able to understand SerDes and high-speed interfaces like Ethernet, PCIe, eDP, USB etc.
  • PI and SI analysis knowledge and use of relevant simulation software knowledge a big plus.
  • Experience with high-speed PCB design and RF for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly techniques is preferred.
