JOB PURPOSE:

The Sr. Marketing Communications and Operations Manager is the lead RLC brand manager and oversees all initiatives designed to engage, inform and inspire our customers to the Toro brand, in alignment with RLC business strategies. This position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing marketing communication, go-to-market plans, and brand loyalty strategies to ultimately create Toro brand advocates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set the vision for all marketing communication initiatives that interact with our customers throughout their decision journey
  • Develop annual marketing plans that broaden awareness and engagement, in addition to strengthening brand relevance across key customer segments
  • Oversee marketing communication strategies for key customer groups including advertising campaigns (multi-media and partnerships), public relations, social media, and brand loyalty campaigns
  • Build key agency relationships to ensure effective creation and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Lead and communicate marketing plans with multiple channel partners to build alignment and engagement
  • Manage event activations (trade show, virtual events, influencer events)
  • Oversee strategies and management of the brand's web properties and vision
  • Guide, strategize and liaise with enterprise functions to strengthen marketing infrastructure and technologies
  • Lead efforts that deliver on end-to-end marketing optimization based on customer decision journey
  • Manage multi-million dollar brand advertising budget across multiple market segments
  • Engage in the divisional marketing strategy development and execution as a part of the marketing leadership team
  • Supervise the marketing communications and operations team of project managers, creative and designers, digital, and brand loyalty managers
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

JOB DIMENSIONS:

Works cross-functionally with marketing, sales, engineering and customer care to meet requirements of RLC businesses. Responsible for guiding the customer along their decision journey and ultimately converting them into Toro brand advocates. Serves multiple customer segments across mass, dealer, and online retail channels.

Up to 15% travel (currently under COVID-19 related travel restrictions)

SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; Master's degree in business administration preferred.
  • Ten or more years of effective brand development, communications and/or marketing operations experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in budgeting, KPI generation, and managing complex, competing initiatives.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong message development, sales, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, digital media preferred.
  • Attributes desired include: highly motivated, self-starter, enthusiastic, strong relational skills, business acumen, competitive spirit and deeply customer focused.
