Position Summary:

The Senior Manager IT Business Partner is a key role within Information Technology at Ferrara Candy Company. Our aggressive IT agenda is exclusively driven by Ferrara's strategic growth initiatives. The Lead Business partner acts as a specialist within several business process areas. As such the role works closely with our business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions that consistently add value to our business.

The Senior IT Business Partner will work directly with Business leaders, IT Leaders and external Service Providers actively facilitating the delivery of solutions. A keen understanding of the goals and objectives of the Sales and Revenue Management functions is required.

Our newly implemented TPM (Trade Promotion Management) processes and solution represents a significant change in capabilities driving adoption and optimization of the solution is critical to support our growing business. The Senior Manager IT Business Partner reports to the Director - IT Business Partnership Trade Promotions and Revenue Growth Management. This role will help establish the support tools, reports and processes for system users in a way that we can extend, integrate and optimize the platform.

The assigned business areas are Commercial, Sales and Operations Planning and Trade Promotions Management, Revenue Growth Management, Marketing. Representative technologies include, but are not limited to Blue Planner Trade Promotions Management (TPM), SAP ECC, SFDC and SAP BOBJ. Some areas are currently supported by Proprietary tools.

Ways You Will Make a Difference:

Business Partnership

  • Work directly with Senior Leaders within Sales and Commercial areas to develop the business technology strategy that matches Ferrara's business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Provide ongoing user support and advocacy for evolving and enhancing roadmap development of current tools to drive best practice business processes.
  • Partner with IT Director and business leads to help identify opportunities for data, process or adoption opportunities and provide technology support for sales planning, promotion planning, revenue growth, and improved financial returns on trade promotions and shopper marketing initiatives
  • Leverage business analysis skills to identify root cause of issues
  • Build a partnership and relationship that adds value to the business through proactive management of enabling technologies.
  • Develop recommendations, solution concepts and business cases for new investments.
  • Drive process change management activities to support best practice within Sales Planning and Commercial Finance
  • Assess risk in business areas not adequately supported by technology.


Project Leadership & Solution Design and Delivery
  • Provide Project Management and oversight of different work streams within the Trade Promotion/Revenue Growth area.
  • Effectively communicate results and status of projects during various stages of their life cycle. Clearly communicate risks, issues and action plans to both business and IT leadership.
  • Ensure that the teams are in place (both internal and external) to deliver technology-based solutions.
  • Provide consultation during all phases of the development of solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional testing and training
  • Work closely with internal IT resources and external service providers to analyze, identify and deliver solutions on time and on budget.
  • Provide support to management regarding strategy and roadmap planning.


External Partner Management
  • Aid in the management of third-party vendors. Ensure that our strategic partners operate as an extension of the Ferrara team and are acting in the best interests of Ferrara.
  • Proactively manage and escalate as necessary situations where our external partners are not meeting our needs and delivering on their commitments.
  • Seek thought leadership from our external partners.
  • Partner with IT Leadership to facilitate RFPs for new applications


Application/Technology Management
  • Understand the application architecture and essential elements of how application design and configuration meet the needs of the business.
  • Understand when and how technology enhancements should be applied to existing systems. Be able to balance the impact that those have on the business as it applies to new functionality and potential disruption of services.
  • System support and administration for the Blue Planner toolset
  • Meet Service Level Agreements when it comes to break/fixes and system bugs.
  • Utilize existing technology investments before investing in redundant solutions.
  • Meet established System performance metrics.
Competencies/Skills/Knowledge Required
  • Functional knowledge of processes across sales, marketing, customer planning, trade promotion management and integration of sales plan with demand planning, pricing and finance.
  • Proficient in integration of CRM tools with ECC/S4 (data exchange, middleware etc.).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience analyzing data sets to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Experience in complex SAP environments.
  • 5+ years' experience in working with end to end trade promotion management business processes and tools in CPG industry highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of the consumer goods industry is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable business analysis and analytics experience

Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5 or more years of experience in delivering projects to the business within Sales Planning and/or Sales/Commercial Finance
  • Minimum 5 or more years of experience configuring and/or supporting CRM and/or TPM platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or 3 to 5 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
  • Prior success managing external IT service providers to deliver solutions.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of integrated technical ecosystems such as SAP ECC, Industry Trade Promotions Management solutions, Sales Planning, Settlement management, SAP BOBJ.
  • Relevant certifications matched to business subject matter.
