Position Overview

Responsible for the operations support for SubCom owned vessels. Manages port agents and Fleet Operations personnel; reports to Director, Fleet Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operations support for eight cable ships and one survey vessel.
  • Supports/coordinates efforts of marine personnel, port engineering, designated people, procurement, logistics, permitting, finance, project coordination, and other various project teams.
  • Consults with management to ensure all necessary maritime arrangements have been made and considered for each port of call and region of operations.
  • Tracks vessels and submersibles activities for proper revenue and expensing.
  • Investigates and implements new process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Vets and Contracts port agents for vessel business on behalf of the company
  • Manages processing of accounts receivable and payable as it pertains to port call and deck department expenses
  • Reviews and approves Operational Directives
  • Reviews, authorizes, and approves purchase requests
Qualifications
  • Strong Marine background required.
  • Working knowledge of SMS requirements, ISPS, and auditing.
  • Financial and budgeting experience required.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
