The Department of Surgery- Histo & Immuno has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Inventory Clerk position. The incumbent maintains control of incoming and outgoing supplies and products within the department/unit and leads lower level inventory clerks in day-to-day tasks.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provides assistance to lower level inventory clerks, which may include training new staff and answering general questions.
  
• Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked.
  
• Counts material equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using inventory system.
  
• Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  
• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  
• Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
  
• Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
  
• Prepares list of depleted items and recommends review of defective or unusable items.
  
• Stocks and issues materials or merchandise.
  
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
