With the guidance of the Sr. Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, this role provides a unique opportunity to help craft Waystar's financial story through effective monitoring & reporting of the company's financial results. Individuals in this position are expected to develop a deep knowledge of Waystar' business, competitive landscape and industry from the view of the executives, the board of directors, investors, as well as the capital markets.

• Prepare presentation materials for board meetings and confidential memoranda
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting related to business operations and adjusted proforma financial results
• Clearly communicate, both in written and oral form, the results of analyses to executive management, lenders, partners, and clients
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through detailed monthly reviews
• Participate in pre & post close M&A financial activities including transaction readiness support, modeling, pitch book materials, and integration
• Assist with analytical and reporting support to senior executive team on an ad hoc basis
• Maintain a current and in-depth understanding of the events and offerings within the healthcare technology market
• Develop public company competitor analysis and reporting

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business, accounting, mathematics, or similar concentration required. MBA Preferred
• M&A advisory, big four accounting, or Private Equity / investment banking experience preferred
• 5+ years of similar work experience required; significant experience with PE owned or publicly traded businesses preferred
• Strong understanding of financial metrics, accounting concepts, and US GAAP
• CPA and/or CFA required
• Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Keen attention to detail
• Must be a self-directed, self-starting individual with an ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and assignments
• Demonstrated success delivering exceptional outcomes under significant time constraints
• Experience working with Capital IQ preferred
