Job Summary:

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development of Mueller's data and information architecture on AWS Cloud. This position will be a key contributor leading and facilitating Mueller's transformation from hosted infrastructure to the cloud.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and operate a cloud based IoT SaaS Platform for the Water Utility Industry
  • Create scripts and processes to build, package, test, deploy and monitor our IoT SaaS Platform using best of breed tools
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines from various programming languages and environments using GitLab
  • Implement monitoring and alerting of automated build, test, and deploy processes
  • Manage code versioning using semantic versioning with GitVersion
  • Manage deployment repositories with Sonotype Nexus
  • Implement package vulnerability and static code analysis scanning into CI/CD pipeline
  • Automate Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using AWS Cloud Formation
  • Document overall CI/CD pipeline design and deployment topologies
  • Work with Mueller Information Security team to ensure platform security and integrity
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Sr. Director of Engineering


Qualifications:
  • BS CE, or CS or similar degree
  • 5+ years experience in software engineering/DevOps
  • 2-3 years experience with AWS cloud managed services (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred)
  • Deep experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab Preferred)
  • Hands on experience authoring code in Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code and then operationalizing that code
  • Experience with one or more APM platforms (Datadog preferred)
  • Deep knowledge and experience in enterprise data architectures including RDBMS, Columnar, and Cloud managed services
  • Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ECS
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server Administration including PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python or .NET/C#
  • Linux/bash and Powershell shell scripting experience
