Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr Application Developer
This position will be remote for candidates residing in CA only!

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Senior Application Developer is responsible for the programming (development), testing, implementation, and support of database applications for the host systems. This individual will work closely and seamlessly with stakeholders to create and improve processes that integrate with the host system. This role will take a broad perspective to identify solutions in order to meet business needs.

  Duties:
  
  Provide technical leadership, direction, and technical support for the development, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of database applications.
  
  2. Review, define, design, program and implement solutions for our core systems using third and fourth generation programming languages.
  
  3. Work with other technical staff and business partners to understand platforms, integration points (APIs, services) and database structures.
  
  4. Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to identify critical functional requirements for new or revised applications, analyzing business needs and developing technical specifications.
  
  5. Perform object-oriented and structured programming, depending on business need.
  
  6. Research, analyze, design, document, and create test plans and prototype host applications and solutions that integrate with third-party systems.
  
  7. Analyze user requirements and prepare technical design specifications to address those requirements.
  
  8. Lead evaluation and analysis of data related to application development in order to improve performance.
  
  9. Conduct database design, maintenance, and tuning to ensure optimal and reliable performance.
  
  10. Function as technical team leader to ensure all tasks are understood and on track. Serve as a resource and provide coaching and mentoring to programming staff as needed. May plan, organize, delegate, arrange resources, and ensure the completion of the team's responsibilities.
  
  11. Develop standards for documentation to ensure recovery capability, satisfactory and stable performance of the platform(s) and all applications and processes.
  
  12. Prepare test scenarios and evaluate test results to validate accuracy of programs and procedures.
  
  13. Perform deep dive analysis of product offerings, identifying gaps, and offering suggestions for improvement.
  
  14. Examine the company's goals and review current technology to envision system features and functionality and recommend solutions.
  
  15. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
  
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 1. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  
  2. EXPIERENCE: A minimum of seven years of experience in software design, programming, maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and documentation is required.
  
  3. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS: Enterprise experience working with multi-tier software architecture, object-oriented design, requirements gathering, Agile and Waterfall SDLC, and have a thorough understanding of core systems infrastructure (operating systems, web server, database, etc.). Demonstrated expertise in developing, troubleshooting, and implementing software code that includes two or more programming languages similar to the following:
  
  i. Procedural: C, TAL
  
  ii. Interpreted: Caché ObjectScript, TACL, Python
  
  iii. Non-Structured: SQL
  
  iv. Object Oriented Programming
