The Enrollment Management Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Advisor, Student Financial Assistance and Employment to work in Coral Gables, FL.

The Senior Advisor, Student Financial Assistance and Employment counsels and provides students with student employment information to prospective and currently enrolled students and their families. May develop special projects and recommendations. Uses professional judgment to solve financial aid problems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Advises and counsels students, parents, and/or prospective students in person, via phone, and email with regard to all areas related to student employment.

  • Assist with student employment orientations

  • Support both on and off-campus employment administrative functions

    Approving and/or adding jobs to WorkDay or compensation changes

    Troubleshooting issues related to student employment or pay

    WorkDay prehire record creation

    Student position changes or terminations

    Approvals in JobX

    Assist with I-9 completion

    Determination of eligibility for various work programs

  • Serves as liaison with other related university offices or departments.

  • Assist with financial aid related needs particularly during peak processing and service seasons

  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience in customer service. Experience in a financial aid or financial analyst capacity is highly preferred. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Analyzes data to effectively problem solve issues related to hiring, pay or record changes

  • Experience in a high traffic service environment

  • Experience related to financial aid or student employment is highly preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
