Our client in Pottsville, PA is looking for a DBA to join their team. This is a permanent role by way of contract to hire.

Position Description:

• Assistance with Microsoft SQL Server database Versions 2008-2016
• Analysis and performance tuning of store procedures and application calls and queries
• Creating and maintaining SSRS (sql server reporting services) reports and platform
• Monitoring IIS and understanding to see the queues of requests in relation to the DB
• On call for emergencies
• 10 SQL Server instances that are the Mainstay. Getting rid of 2 instances
• 20 databases
• Migration of servers and database, planning and exectuion of data migration

Required Skills:

• Experience Cross-server communication
• Experience Web based application
• Strong knowledge of IIS protocols
• Strong knowledge of analysis and metric tools (any is fine)
• 2+ years hands on SSRS
• 2+ years DBA in a multiplatform environment
• 1+ year IIS experience
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security
