Under the clinical supervision of the Spine Center physicians, the Physician Assistant Navigator manages and oversees the care of the of patients seen in the Outpatient Spine Center. The Navigator performs evaluations, coordinates and participates in the Plan of Care, monitors patient progress and documents patient care performs procedures in the outpatient setting including but not limited to, injections, suture removal.

The Navigator is often the initial provider to see the patient and then orchestrates the appropriate path for follow up care based upon the evalutation. Early access is one of the primary goals for the PA Navigator for the Spine Center. The Navigator works in close collaboration with the Surgeons, PMR providers, Pain Providers and Physical Therapy.

Qualifications
Two years' experience as a Physician's Assistant, surgical experience preferred.

Demonstrated analytical abilities and strong interpretative skills for integrating information from the patient history, physical exam, and diagnostic data to be able to form a differential diagnosis and subsequent treatment plan.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Evidence of continued education and professional development.

Knowledge of needs and clinical pathways for patients presenting with orthopedic spine issues
