Assistant Director of Global Support Services
Position SummaryThe Assistant Director for Global Support Services will provide leadership, coordination, and unit training for international student support and undergraduate education abroad academic support for incoming (exchange) and outgoing students with an emphasis on semester programs; assist in the oversight of the Undergraduate Academic Services unit; be responsible for supervising 2-3 professional full-time academic advisors; and participate in day-to-day academic advising services. The successful candidate will work with a team of advisors in the College's office of Undergraduate Academic Services (UAS) to provide academic advising services to prospective students, undergraduate business-preference, and business students (domestic and international) including academic program planning, education abroad, career pathway to major alignment, student engagement referrals, and related topics. Responsibilities will also include participation in the development and implementation of activities/projects related to student success and retention; participation in prospective student programming and events; attending meetings at the department, college, and university level; degree clearance; and may include facilitation of a one-credit freshman seminar emphasizing business major and career exploration.The position will interface regularly with faculty and academic professionals throughout the College and across campus.UAS supports and encourages a flex schedule which incorporates day/time flexibility as well as work from home opportunities.
